Description: "Established in 2017, Adirondack Fibershed is a member of the Fibershed Affiliate Program. The Fibershed Affiliate Program supports an international grassroots network that promotes the development of regional fiber systems communities, including economic and non-economic growth, in the form of building relationships and new global networks. We work to connect fiber enthusiasts across the Adirondacks and inspire collaborations that result in beautiful artisan products made with local fiber, natural dyes, and local labor. Whether you have been knitting for 40 years, raising sheep for 3 generations, or are just becoming interested in the fiber world, we have something for you. We will be organizing workshops on topics like natural dying, weaving, knitting, and more, and we can't wait to foster more creative connections.

The Acadiana Fibershed encompasses twenty two parishes in southwest Louisiana. The area’s name recognizes the region’s historic role as the area in which approximately 3,000 Acadian refugees sought sanctuary after being exiled from present day Nova Scotia in the early 18th century. The time honored traditions of family, self-sufficiency and economic reciprocity remain intact to this day along with the cultivation of Acadian Brown Cotton.
