Description: The MacArthur Foundation describes how The Resurrection Project joined the North Carolina based Self-Help Credit Union to revive the Second Federal Credit Union. Together these partners help educate immigrants about predatory lending, helping them build credit and navigate the mortgage lending system. The article talks about a machine operator who bought a home in Bensenville, Illinois. Second Federal President, Rudolfo Medina, discusses how lending education leads immigrants to stability and saves many from foreclosure. The project has invested over 150,000,000 and served over 1400 families in Chicago's Little Village.
