The Icelandic financial crisis protests, also referred to as the Kitchenware, Kitchen Implement, or Pots and Pans Revolution (Búsáhaldabyltingin), occurred in the wake of the Icelandic financial crisis. This collection contains documentaries, media coverage (domestic and international), blogs, artworks, national polls, protest coverage, interviews, parliamentary documents and announcements, books on the collapse, investigative reports, and presentations on the topic.

Title: ÍSLENSKA EFNAHAGSUNDRIÐ: FLUGELDAHAGFRÆÐI

URL: http://hrunid.hi.is/hrunbaekur/hagfraedi/islenska-efnahagsundrid/

Description: An overview of Jón F. Thoroddsen's 'ÍSLENSKA EFNAHAGSUNDRIÐ: FLUGELDAHAGFRÆÐI', which deals with events from 1980s in the Icelandic economy which ultimately constituted the expansion period, all the way up to the economic crisis of 2009. This helps Thoroddsen provide empirical weight to his theory of 'firework economics' in neo-liberal economic orthodoxy, where the incorrect assumption that market actors are rational and contribute to a never-ending cycle of growth actually leads to a collapse in the market.
