Description: I am writing to update you on earlier communications about one resident who tested positive for Covid-19. As well, we have been notified that a staff member has tested positive because of their close contact exposure to the resident. This afternoon, Island Health will remove Mount St. Mary Hospital from enhanced surveillance and will declare an outbreak in Burdett House and Humboldt House. All residents in these two Houses are on isolation and must remain in their rooms until at least May 3rd.
