This collection consists of the websites for non-profits across the United States that are focused on urban farming. These organizations demonstrate the social impact of these programs, including: job training for at-risk youth and those who were formerly incarcerated; adult and youth education; support for refugees and immigrants; and providing produce for neighborhoods that are food deserts and for food shelters.

Description: This website details the Green Ghetto and Rid-All Green Partnership, which operates an urban farm in Cleveland’s Kinsman Neighborhood. The organization grows produce to bring healthy, local food to area institutions and citizens and train others on this work. The organization farms, creates nutritious soil, educates adults (as a Regional Outreach Training Center of Central State University), and educates youth (under their “Green ‘n tha Ghetto” banner).
