Description: SESLA provides information, job search support and camaraderie for students interested in entertainment industry careers, especially the practice of entertainment-related law. These goals are achieved by sponsoring events that help to educate members about career opportunities in film, music, sports, theater, interactive media and related fields. To supplement the entertainment law offerings available at Stanford Law School, SESLA arranges for guest lectures by visiting entertainment industry professionals. Recent speakers have included entertainment lawyers from both private practice and entertainment companies (such as TV networks, film studios, sports teams and music publishing companies), as well as film producers, talent agents and academics. SESLA also keeps its members informed about conferences and workshops on entertainment law and the entertainment industry held around the Bay Area.
