Description: Founded in 2006, the Magnolia Belles is a student-run acappella group consisting of around twenty vocally talented women from East Carolina University. The Magnolia Belles name recalls the beautiful magnolia trees that adorn our campus and honors the memory of three sisters who came to East Carolina Teachers College from Magnolia, NC in the 1920s. The Belles perform throughout the year for alumni, campus, and community events in addition to their annual spring concert. Their repertoire includes contemporary pop, R&B, country, oldies, and their own versions of the “Fight Song” and “Alma Mater.”
