Title: AIRport - Academic Interactive Resources portal, Student services directory

URL: https://services.unimelb.edu.au/finder

Description: AIRport provides a range of online interactive materials to improve students' academic writing, study skills and transition to University. AIRport consists of a wide range of interactive activities organised into 'gates' and 'terminals': * The Undergraduate Terminal has three gates: o Gate 1 includes quizzes, videos and information about transition, general study skills and academic writing. o Gate 2 includes short courses in writing essays, preparing reports and how to reference, with individual feedback provided by Academic Skills Unit advisers. o Gate 3 includes discipline-specific resources for Commerce, Engineering, Environments and Science/Biomedicine. * The International Terminal provides interactive information for those relocating to Australia to study at the University of Melbourne. It includes the Meeting Place, a social networking tool connecting pre-departure international students before they leave home. * The Graduate Terminal is being built at the moment. In the meantime, graduate students can explore the wealth of resources in CourseWorks. While some AIRport resources may be useful for secondary students or students from other universities, it is important to acknowledge that AIRport targets undergraduate students from the University of Melbourne. These resources are expected to be of particular benefit to new students, international students and students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
