Throughout recorded history, Nepal has nestled between the giant cultural formations of India to the south and China/Tibet to the north. With the globalization of modern times, international interests and concerns draw Nepal into contact with more distant corners of the world. There are now a multitude of non-governmental organizations at work in Nepal, many headquartered in the Kathmandu Valley. Some are international NGOs and some are purely Nepali, some are long running and some are startups. All of the websites archived here are NGO self-presentations of their aspirations and their achievements on various fronts—humanitarian, environmental, economic, political, religious, and more.

Description: Organization founded in 1998 Saipal Development Society (SDS) is a non-governmental, non profitable, non political and non religious organization. It was registered under district administrative office Bajhang at March 11, 1998 according to social welfare act 2034. This organization has been working in different sector such as; Health, Sanitation, Agriculture, income generation, Infrastructure development forestry etc. by partnering with various I/NGO’s and governmental organization since 1999. Description: Organization founded in 1991 Nirdhan is poverty focused non-profit organization registered under the Society Registration Act 1977 of Nepal. It’s tax exempted organization. It was established in 1991 by a group of like-minded people led by late Dr. HariharDev Pant then Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. It was an outcome of Dr. Pant’s study visit to Grameen Bank of Bangladesh in 1986. Nirdhan is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. Nirdhan has extensive expertise in livelihood development, employment creation, education, agricultural enterprise development and providing financial security in impoverished communities of Nepal. - From the website 2021.06.01
