PARTNER: Michigan Department of History, Arts and Libraries

Description: The Michigan Department of History, Arts and Libraries (HAL) was established in 2001. Dedicated to enriching quality of life and strengthening the economy by providing access to information, preserving and promoting Michigan's heritage and fostering cultural creativity, HAL includes the Library of Michigan, the Mackinac Island State Park Commission, the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the Michigan Film Office and the Michigan Historical Center. HAL seeks to permanently preserve Michigan government information for reference and research purposes. Annual snapshots of the Michigan.gov Web portal (as well as legislative and judicial branch Web pages) will be captured in December of each year.
