The Dark Tourism Collection archives websites on the phenomenon called “dark tourism.” Our goal for this collection is to enable exploration of the motivations behind the creation of dark tourism sites, as well as reasons for visiting them. The initial foci of the Dark Tourism Collection is prison sites from the late 19th to 20th century.
