Description: Through the Buildings Code Division, the Business Standards Division establishes and maintains basic building, plumbing,mechanical, electrical, energy, elevator and boiler codes. The Business Standards Division also includes the Weights and Measures Bureau, which licenses, inspects, tests, certifies all weighing or measuring devices used in commercial transactions. Additionally, this division also licenses and regulates individuals and businesses engaged in specific occupations and professions. This website provides links that allow people to apply for, search for and renew permits and licenses.
