Description: In May of 2020, Rosa Cabrera, director of the Rafael Cintrón Ortiz Latino Cultural Center (LCC), reached out to Mark Martell, executive director of the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center, to collaborate on and expand the COVID-19 Masking Project. The project aims to engage students, faculty, staff, and community members in a creative and meaningful way during the COVID-19 pandemic by instructing users to create their own masks as symbols of resistance and solidarity.
